Our Story

Built from hands-on experience

C.L.E began in 1983 when Timothy Jangi started the business independently. What began as a one-man operation developed over the following decades into a broader plumbing, heating and mechanical services business.

As the company grew, its work expanded beyond straightforward domestic plumbing and heating into larger and more demanding commercial and public-sector environments.

That experience helped shape the way we still approach projects today: understand the requirements, assess the system properly, plan the work carefully, complete the installation methodically and make sure the finished system performs as intended.

Heating technology has changed significantly since 1983. The fundamentals of good engineering have not. Correct design, installation, commissioning, controls and maintenance remain essential whether the system is a traditional boiler or a modern air source heat pump.

Timothy Jangi

Timothy founded the company in 1983 and built it around practical plumbing, heating and mechanical work.

Starting independently meant understanding every stage of a job — diagnosing problems, planning work, carrying out installations, dealing directly with customers and ensuring the finished system worked properly.

As the business developed, that experience broadened into more complex projects and working environments where coordination, reliability, documentation and attention to detail were increasingly important.

That background continues to influence C.L.E Renewable Energy today. We look beyond the appliance itself and consider how the complete heating or cooling system needs to operate.

Compliance-led experience

Experience in environments where standards matter

As the business developed, C.L.E undertook work within the NHS and at South London and Maudsley hospital sites.

Working within hospital and public-sector environments requires more than simply completing the physical installation. Work has to be carefully planned and coordinated while taking account of safety, documentation, communication and the environment around the project.

This experience helped reinforce a disciplined approach to our work which continues across domestic, commercial, heating and renewable energy projects today.

Planning — understanding the requirements before work begins.
Safety — responsible working practices throughout the project.
Documentation — keeping project and system information organised.
Coordination — working effectively alongside customers, contractors and other trades.
Commissioning — checking that completed systems operate as intended.

Why C.L.E

An engineering-led approach from survey to aftercare

The equipment is only one part of a successful heating or cooling system. We focus on how the complete installation works together.

01

Established experience

A company history dating back to 1983 through plumbing, heating and mechanical services.

02

Family-run accountability

A direct and personal approach rather than a high-volume, sales-led business model.

03

System thinking

We consider the complete heating or cooling system rather than treating the appliance in isolation.

04

Domestic & commercial experience

Practical experience across residential, commercial and controlled working environments.

05

Modern renewable systems

Heat pumps and modern low-temperature heating combined with long-standing heating knowledge.

06

Design to commissioning

Survey, system selection, installation, commissioning and handover treated as one connected process.

07

Servicing & diagnostics

Servicing, fault finding and repair support alongside installation work.

Local knowledge with broader experience

Working throughout Kent means dealing with a wide range of buildings, from older homes and period properties to new developments and commercial premises.

Each property can have very different heat loss, pipework, electrical supply, emitters, ventilation requirements and space available for equipment.

That is why we prefer to understand the building and the existing system before deciding what should be installed.

Local Service

C.L.E Renewable Energy across Kent

Our vans are regularly travelling across Kent carrying out installations, servicing, repairs, fault diagnosis and commissioning.

The type of technology we work with has changed considerably over the years, but our aim remains straightforward: understand the requirement, select the right solution, install it properly and make sure the customer understands how the completed system works.

From boiler faults and ventilation problems to complete air source heat pump and air conditioning installations, the same practical approach applies.
